Dr. Lauren Thompson is from Atlanta, Georgia. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Laboratory Animal Science from North Carolina A&T State University in Greensboro, North Carolina. She returned to her home state to complete her veterinary training at the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine in May 2023. Dr. Thompson started her career in emergency medicine, and is excited to continue to use those skills to advocate for the health and wellness of our pets. Though she grew up with dogs and hopes to invite another German Shepherd into her home, she and her fiancée have adopted two very perfect black cats – Leon and Bagheera. She loves crocheting, reading, and giving back to her community.
